Rachel Belle Powell Reeves was born on August 22, 1884 and died on November 10, 1962. Her parents, Thomas Franklin Powell and Martha Frances “Molly” Pollard Powell, raised her in a small town Brooks, Georgia, in Fayette County, Georgia.

Unveiling a Hidden Gem

Woolsey is a small town with a rich history, located in the state of Georgia. Friends of Historic Woolsey has been on the lookout for old photos of the historic church, particularly ones that featured its steeple. We knew based on personal accounts that the church had a steeple, but we couldn’t find a photo of it. It was almost like the steeple was hiding from us!
