Woolsey is a small town with a rich history, located in the state of Georgia. Friends of Historic Woolsey has been on the lookout for old photos of the historic church, particularly ones that featured its steeple. We knew based on personal accounts that the church had a steeple, but we couldn’t find a photo of it. It was almost like the steeple was hiding from us!

In December 1906, Juan Fernandez McLean, a prominent figure in the Woolsey community, purchased and placed the original fence around the cemetery.
