Gary Laggis
Mayor Gary Laggis and his wife Pam moved to Woolsey from Clayton County in 1985, and he was elected Mayor in 1988. Early in his term as Mayor, Gary and the Town Council helped put in place Woolsey’s first planning and zoning regulations to assure the town's development would maintain its rural and pastoral appeal. Like many of Woolsey’s residents, the historic small town and open area community lifestyle was what initially drew his family here and which they have come to value over the years. Gary retired from BB&T Insurance Services in 2014 after 38 years as an Agency Owner and Manager.
