Our Journey
Our journey began with a simple but meaningful goal: to honor the past while preserving it for future generations. What started as a conversation about the future of Historic Woolsey Church grew into a shared commitment among descendants, neighbors, historians, and volunteers who believed this special place deserved to be saved. Along the way, we have uncovered forgotten stories, restored historic features, documented family histories, welcomed new supporters, and built lasting partnerships. Each challenge has strengthened our resolve, and every milestone has reminded us that preservation is not just about protecting buildings. It is about safeguarding the people, memories, traditions, and sense of community that give those places their meaning. Our journey continues, one story, one project, and one generation at a time.
